Private ENKA Schools was founded by ENKA Foundation on October 24th, 1999 to provide opportunities for a free education to children who lost their parents in the 1999 Marmara earthquake.
The school still gives priority to children who have lost their mothers or fathers for various reasons, providing these children with equal opportunities by covering their educational expenses.
Educational activities started in prefabricated buildings within the 56,500 m2 campus area; they now take place in permanent structures, which were completed in 2016.
In addition to school buildings, the campus provides a large living space with an indoor swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, guesthouse, dining hall and auditorium.
As of 2016, the campus has a farm in which different kinds of animal live freely and farmland and greenhouses where students can grow plants.
