{"id":20896,"date":"2019-05-16T14:58:34","date_gmt":"2019-05-16T11:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.enka.k12.tr\/adapazari\/?p=20896"},"modified":"2020-09-03T10:41:32","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T07:41:32","slug":"international-young-critics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enka.k12.tr\/adapazari\/en\/international-young-critics\/","title":{"rendered":"9th International Young Critics Symposium"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>On 10<sup>th<\/sup>-11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of May, 2019, four students from Prep &amp; 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade and one teacher from the Turkish Language and Literature attended the 9<sup>th<\/sup>International Young Critics Symposium at TED Ankara Schools. Our Prep student joined the English Language and Literature session and analysed William Blake\u2019s poems with critical methods. 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0graders joined the Comparative Literature session in which Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and \u00c7al\u0131ku\u015fu by Re\u015fat Nuri G\u00fcntekin were analysed in terms of themes and imagologies. The goal of this symposium is to improve students\u2019 literary and artistic intelligence, gain a critical approach to literary texts and the skill to exhibit their ideas in front of an audience.
