Their project titled \u201cFire-Bending Geometry: Simulation Analysis of the Effect of the Koch Fractal Model on Fire Spread in Forest Fire Safety Strips\u201d in the field of Mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>This year, 1,200 projects were selected from approximately 27,000 projects to participate in the regional competitions. Our students have added another scientific achievement to their list with this important award, which they earned in a highly competitive environment.<\/p>\n<p>Our students, who incorporated fractal geometry, mathematical modelling, and computer-based simulation techniques into their projects, have developed an innovative approach aimed at mitigating the spread of forest fires. The findings of their study indicate that the proposed model has the potential to reduce fire propagation by approximately 42%.<\/p>\n<p>We sincerely congratulate our students, who have achieved this success through their scientific curiosity, disciplined dedication, and strong commitment to address societal challenges, as well as their esteemed teacher who guided them throughout this process.
