<\/div>[vc_column_text]ENKA\u2019s Computer Education and Educational Technologies Department aims to provide students with the communication technology skills they will need throughout their education and business life and enable them to produce creative and effective digital solutions for the problems and needs they encounter. <\/span>Our primary goal is to ensure that our students use technology responsibly to research, learn, and communicate as global citizens, and to be informed about the impact technology has had in the 21st century.<\/span><\/p>\n

We care that our students receive algorithmic thinking and technology education beginning in Pre-School. Below you can find our work on Computer Education at all levels at ENKA Schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the key aim of educational technology. All in-school training designed for teachers is planned and provided by the ENKA Schools\u2019 Educational Technology department. The Educational Technology curriculum is prepared in line with ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards and takes into account the knowledge and skills that our students should achieve through levels K-12. Such technology skills are effectively integrated into the curriculum in cooperation with the Educational Technology department and subject teachers.<\/p>\n

In Pre-School,<\/b><\/p>\n

Students begin to receive coding education in cognitive development, planning work, establishing situational relationships and generating new ideas. They also improve their problem-solving skills while dealing with the problems they encounter in coding activities. Their cognitive development in this area enables them to be more successful in coding at later ages. Determining the necessary actions to achieve a certain goal and implementing these actions sequentially is a phenomenon underlying the ability to think algorithmically. With our coding lessons, our students improve their algorithmic thinking skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Primary School, <\/strong><\/p>\n

We implement the IB Primary Years Program<\/span>. The ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) course focuses on digital citizenship and algorithmic thinking and coding and provides basic information technology skills. Attention is paid to the development of digital products prepared in the student\u2019s studies during their Primary School years in accordance with the design principles and the use of tools in accordance with their purpose. Information finding, organizing, and cite sourcing are developed while conducting research, with attention paid to academic honesty and sourcing information from reliable sources. Our students are supported to collaborate in online environments. Students are taught good digital citizenry and know how to behave accordingly. <\/span>\u00a0In addition, activities are conducted with both block-based coding platforms and robotic tools for the further development of algorithmic thinking and coding skills. The curriculum is developed in accordance with the students\u2019\u00a0 grade level with increasing complexity in each successive year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Middle School, <\/strong><\/p>\n

Students begin to develop projects using the design circle within the scope of MYP Design course. They use basic design principles, algorithmic thinking, and problem solving skills in these projects. While continuing block-based coding projects, this course provides the infrastructure for the text-based coding training and projects students will receive in the future. In the following years, students follow the stages of the design circle and produce solutions to today’s problems in 3D product designs and virtual worlds. Students develop these projects in the design-production-presentation triangle and are supported by appropriate presentation skills training.<\/span><\/p>\n

In High School, <\/strong><\/p>\n

Our students improve their Computer Science skills through projects and activities at different levels. In the Prep Grade, all students take a Computer Science and Design course. Within the scope of this course, they learn basic concepts of Computer Science, the history and working principles of computers, and design and information technology,which they use to find solutions to current problems.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]
