MATHEMATICS<\/div>

Mathematics is a reliable means of obtaining new information, evaluating the information obtained and transferring it to future generations.<\/p>\n

The contribution of mathematics to the world’s development is indisputable. Our department helps students to discover mathematics and to use the language of mathematics correctly. It teaches them to:reach the correct mathematical resources they need and make efficient use of these resources,[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”30px” bg_type=”bg_color” bg_color_value=”#f5f5f5″][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

  • Acquire a habit of working individually and mastering time management,<\/li>\n
  • Think analytically,<\/li>\n
  • Be open to criticism, and adapt to changes and innovations,<\/li>\n
  • Apply their knowledge to problems in their daily lives, analyse these problems and produce solutions,<\/li>\n
  • Understand concepts such as shape, space, ground-direction, perspective etc., and transfer basic knowledge about such concepts to technical fields,<\/li>\n
  • Graduate as individuals who can create mathematical models in their own technical fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”2169″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”30px” bg_type=”bg_color” bg_color_value=”#f5f5f5″][vc_column][vc_column_text]For this purpose, the department closely follows developments in education and reflects the latest changes in its teaching.<\/p>\n

    By adapting the technological equipment available in our school, we enable our students to learn web-based drawing programmes and use them as supplementary material.<\/p>\n

    The Mind Games Club established by our department is assisting those of our 9th, 10th and 11th grade students who want to attend the Waterloo University Mathematics Competition and the Purple Comet Mathematics Competition.<\/p>\n

    At the same time, our club students play various mind games in groups and design new games themselves.<\/p>\n

    We run a systematic study programme for the T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Mathematics Olympics and the Mediterranean Mathematics Olympiads, and make it possible for our students to participate. We also enable our students to take part in the AMC and AIME international mathematics competitions.<\/p>\n

    We help our students to improve their knowledge of mathematics\u00a0 testing techniques through weekend course work in grades 11 and 12. As a result, our students have scored highly in the university entrance examinations (TYT and AYT), and won places in the universities of their choice.[\/vc_column_text]
