<\/p>\nThe study titled “Effects of Different Growing Media Containing Celery on Pleurotus Ostreatus”, prepared by our 11th graders Eren Alp G\u00dcM\u00dc\u015e and Deniz \u00d6ZDEM\u0130R, made it to the T\u00fcrkiye finals of the 30th Dr. \u0130brahim Ar\u0131kan MEF Educational Institutions Research Projects Competition. This time, our students’ study was selected for the V. International Conference on International Agricultural, Biolog\u0131cal and Life Sciences at AGBIOL 2023 Conference and was presented online.<\/p>\n
Their aim was to contribute to the mushroom production industry by increasing both sustainability and efficiency through the use of food waste in different growing environments. In the study, the effects of different growing environments on the size and volumetric properties, the development period of mycelial , the formation period of primordium, the period of harvest, fertility and biological activities of P. ostreatus mushroom (Oyster mushroom) were examined. As a result of this study, they succeeded in increasing the development, fertility and biological activities of oyster mushrooms.<\/p>\n
