We were in Cambridge for CamMUN 2025!
As Kocaeli ENKA Schools, we participated in CamMUN 2025, the 7th annual Cambridge Model United Nations held at the Stephen Perse Senior School. Having been accompanied by our English Teacher Müge Demircan, 4 of our students took part in this MUN organization with more than 350 delegates from many parts of the world such as the USA, Hong Kong and Indonesia as well as colleges from the United Kingdom. Under the main theme “Rethinking Global Solidarity: Including the Excluded.”, the students discussed current or historical affairs focusing on different international crisis around the world within a scope of finding peace, prosperity, economic justice, human and women’s rights.
Our students who attended committees of UNSC(United Nations Security Council), ECOSOC(Economic and Social Council), CSW(Commission on the Status of Women) and HICJ(Historic International Court of Justice) successfully represented our school as delegates of Algeria, India, French Empire and Mexico. At the opening ceremony, Mo Tanweer, Academic Associate at Pembroke College at Cambridge University made a very informative speech about current state of play in today’s world.
Our students also showed the ability to express themselves both academically and socially. In addition to their work in the committees, our students also enjoyed cultural tours in both London and Cambridge and had an opportunity to get a grasp of the historical and picturesque scenery of both cities.
We congratulate our students who participated in the conference for their performance and wish them continued success.
