The third annual short movie contest among high schools was organized this year in the memory of one of the most important representatives of new generation Turkish cinema Seyfi Teoman, who passed away 7 years ago. The contest, which was organized by İstanbul Atatürk Science High School Graduates Society, took place in Kadıköy Barış Manço Culture Center. Among nearly 100 applicants, 13 movies made it to finals. The first film of our cinema club “juli@“ received the second best movie prize. Since our director Ahmet Umur Topçu was at the International Biology Olympiads Camp Turkey, the movie’s leading actor Elif Çetin accepted the prize. It meant a lot to receive the prize from Serhat Teoman’s wife, Ayşegül Teoman.
We congratulate our students for this success and we hope them to have bigger achievements in the future.
