“Die Jugend Prägt Europa – Fertigung Einer Münzpresse Zum Prägen Einer Europamünze”

In partnership with other schools, the school has participated in the European Union project “Die Jugend Prägt Europa – Fertigung Einer Münzpresse Zum Prägen Einer Europamünze” (Youth Shaping Europe – the Manufacture of a Coin Press to Mint a European Coin). The project was successfully completed in 2016 with the support of a grant from Erasmus +, which brings together the European Union programmes for education, training and youth.


The Berufliche Oberschule Regensburg School in Germany was the lead coordinator for the project. The other partners were the Dunaújvárosi Bánki Donát Gimnázium és Szakközépiskola of Hungary, the Robert Schuman Institute of Belgium, the Zespół szkół of Poland and the Private ENKA Vocational and Technical High School. A series of learning and teaching activities were organised among the schools in order to establish an international student partnership, share basic information about educational systems and methods, and facilitate cultural exchanges.

At the project closing ceremony, held in Poland in May 2016, a commemorative coin-printing machine and a commemorative monument were unveiled. As part of this project, our school hosted the participating students and other guests and arranged a week-long programme of activities between March 13th and March 19th, 2016.

“Sonne über Europa-Entwicklung und Bau eines Solar angetriebenen Bootes”, presented during the 2017 Call for Proposals within the scope of Erasmus + Program Inter-School Strategic Partnerships (KA219) activity carried out by the Ministry of European Union.  Our project named “Sun over Europe” has been accepted.

The project will be carried out with a grant provided by the National Agency of the Ministry of EU Affairs.

The 3-year project has 6 partners. The Robert Schuman Institute in Belgium was the lead coordinator for the project. The other partners were the Dunaújvárosi Bánki Donát Gimnázium és Szakközépiskola of Hungary, the Berufliche Oberschule Regensburg School o of Germany , the Zespół szkół of Poland, the Istituto Tecnico Tecnologico Statale “Alessandro Volta” of Italy. and the Private ENKA High School.

A series of learning and teaching activities were organised among the schools in order to establish an international student partnership, share basic information about educational systems and methods, and facilitate cultural exchanges.

Throughout the project, the students of the machinery and automation department will work together with the students of the partner schools via online platforms (Lo-net, etwinning, etc.) to build a boat powered by solar energy.  At the end of the project they will participate in competitions to be held in Belgium and Germany with this boat.
