Results of the Waterloo University Mathematics Contest in Canada were announced. All over the world 30.784 students from 9th grades for Pascal, 23.650 from 10th grades for Cayley and 20.609 from 11th grades for Fermat category participated in this exam.
With the average of 123 points, our 28 students took part in the exam in which the total point was 150:
– Having answered all the questions correctly Taner Efe Gümüş with 150 full points, had the right to get a medal in 11th class category. He is the first in the world in his category. Totally 6 students got full points.
– Yunus Onur Öksüz with 136 points, was in the 94th place in the world and had the right to get a medal in 10th class category.
– Mert Umut with 138 points, was in the 54th place in the world and had the right to get a medal in 9th class category.
