
This year, from our school, a total of 45 students including 29 students in the 9th grade category, 10 students in the 10th grade category, and 6 students in the 11th grade category participated in the Mathematics Contest organized by the Waterloo University, in Canada. The exam, in which students are asked to answer 25 questions in 65 minutes, is evaluated out of 150 points. A total of 41.962 students consisting of 16.521 students in the 9th grade (Pascal), 12.864 students in the 10th grade (Cayley), and 12.577 students in the 11th grade (Fermat) participated in the exam worldwide.
– In the 9th grade category, Mehmet Can Baştemir (9 *STHS) got 150 full points and ranked as the 1st place (There are only 105 students who got full points around the world)
– In the 10th grade category, Serdar Bozdağ, (10 STHS) got 150 full points and ranked as the 1st place.(There are only 39 students who got full points around the world)
– In the 11th grade category, Yusuf Cemal Karataş (11 STHS) got 144 points and became the 32nd in the world.
