WORLD MATHEMATİCS DAY
World Mathematics Day Events are a project carried out by the International Mathematics Union. Every year on March 14, all countries are invited to participate in schools, museums, libraries and other areas through activities for both students and the general public.
We also attended the “Mathematics, Art and Creativity” event organized by “Mathematics Day Istanbul” at the Gebze Technical University Congress and Culture Center with our 9th grade students and attended by over 3000 students. We listened to presentations about mathematics, played games and visited the booth areas. We attended workshops on the fun aspects of mathematics such as the Nim game, Hanoi towers, magic squares and geometric patterns.
