Private ENKA Vocational and Technical High School was founded in 2008 by ENKA Sports, Education and Social Assistance Foundation, which was established by the distinguished Şarık Tara. The school opened its doors in the 2008- 2009 school year with the aim of breaking new ground with its unique academic programme, technical facilities and professional academic staff.
A first in Turkey, our school building is located on a landscaped 30,750 square-metre plot donated by the Istanbul Machinery Manufacturers Industrial Co-operative. The building has a covered area of 15,000 square metres. It includes 20 classrooms, 5 laboratories and 15 workshops for the Machinery CNC, Industrial Automation and Chemistry departments. There is also an indoor sports hall and a dining hall. The classroom and workshop equipment and academic programme of the school were developed following collaboration with similar schools located abroad, especially in Germany. Collaboration of this kind will be maintained in the years to come.
The school has 554 students, 81 academic staff members and 18 other personnel. It has a capacity for 750 students. The library has a capacity for 25,000 books. About 15,000 books are currently available.

The school follows the curriculum developed for Anatolian Technical High Schools. Apart from providing our students with a high-quality vocational education, we aim to prepare them for further study in undergraduate programmes in engineering.
Our Science and Technology High School, which started to educate in 2014-2015 Academic Year, aims to train Science People.
Besides vocational development, our students receive coaching to ensure that they internalise their professions and to increase their enthusiasm. Providing the students with a modern and social education programme and preparing them for real life are also key components of our project.
In our school, lunch and transportation are free of charge.
