BOOK SIGNING RECEPTION WITH AUTHOR HAYDAR ERGULEN

“How were those letters written, those I cannot dare to open, but as history unfolds, they were all left in times when each stamp was a city, and where every envelope was a new journey…”
Haydar Ergülen, one of the most important poets of our poetry after the 1980s, met with students of Enka Technical Schools on Wednesday, February 28, in the context of our library’s ‘writers activities’ initiative. Poetry and literary dialogues were held with the participation of 9th and 10th grade students who read the authors poetry book, ZARF. Students admiringly watched, listened to the authors insight and understandings of today’s literary world. A friendly warmth, appealing photographs, and of course, poetry were all that was left behind, after the Q&A section and the book signing ceremony.
Haydar ERGULEN was born in October 1956, in Eskisehir. He studied primary school in Eskişehir and secondary school in Ankara, then majored in Sociology at the Middle East Technical University.
