Enka Technical Schools in Spain, SEKMUN
As Enka Technical Schools, we participated the 19th Edition of the SEKMUN meeting entitled ‘Dialogue for coexistence’ at Camilo José Cela University, Villafranca del Castillo, in Madrid.
As being one of the biggest MUN gathering with its 500 participants SEKMUN hosted various schools from different countries including USA, Portugal, Spain and Rwanda.
Our students as delegates of countries Guatemala and Canada discussed and found resolutions to their conflicts in various topics under Economic and Social Council, Human Rights, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, World Tourism Organization, Food and Agriculture Organization as well as United Nations on Drugs and Crime. The practice not only prepares students in persuasion, debate, negotiation, problem solving and in researching and writing reports on subjects but also it puts into practice the ideal that non-violent dialogue is the best way to resolve.
All schools were invited to Madrid Spanish Senate to be welcomed and greeted. An amazing privilege to be hosted by the members of parliament representatives into the MUN experience. We thank all our students and accompanying teacher Müge Demircan for proudly representing our school on an international platform.
