Private ENKA Vocational And Technical Anatolian High School is Turkey’s first  private vocational school that serves all of its students on full scholarships. It was established in 2008 at a temporary building then moved to its main campus in 2010. Our school services 395 students in three major disciplines; industrial automation, machinery technologies, and chemical technologies

ENKA Technical School is established in order to provide training for the required areas of professions using the modern and high technological equipment with the  up-to-date methods, to meet both the social and cultural needs of our students, and instill a sense of responsibility, work ethic, moral values and sensitivity; to fulfill the objectives of the industrial sectors to raise individuals who will take part in R&D units in the future, provide added value to their production and meet the needs of vocational and technical education institutions.

Our vision is to educate such individuals that will embrace the “ENKA” name and comprehend our responsibility as the first school in Turkey. We anticipate that this serves as a remarkable example for other superseding institutions which will enable us to have a say in the field of technical/vocational education not only in our country, but in the rest of the world as well.

All of our students receive full scholarships. All services such as education, service and meals are provided free of charge and the university preparatory course is offered free of charge within our school.

Our school, which provides service with the original training program, technical facilities and qualified teaching staff, serves in the 15,000 square meter closed area in a green area of ​​30,750 square meters which was donated to us by the Regional Directorate of Machinery Specialized Organized Industry. In our building, there are a total of 13 workshops, a dining hall and a gym with 27 classrooms, 5 laboratories, machinery technologies, industrial automation and chemical technologies. The school areas, equipment and training programme have been developed in cooperation with other institutions abroad, especially the ones in Germany. In our school, there are physics, chemistry and biology laboratories equipped with the latest technology to support the practical training of our students, and it also has a LEGO robot studio, model aircraft-drone atelier, science center, visual arts studio and a studio for our school orchestra and music bands to rehearse.

Our students receive a superior technical education with project-based education philosophy in state-of-the-art CNC machines, high-level chemistry laboratory devices and mechatronics workshops in accordance with industry 4.0. They can easily implement the projects they designed with the wide workshop machine park and 3D printer facilities offered in the computer laboratory. Our students produce 3D printers, 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, and mechatronics test sets which they use in our own workshops. Technical trips to the factories are organized for our students to integrate with the industry, to gain production culture and to see the production on the spot.

The mutual relations with the vocational schools abroad have been strengthened by the sister school project. Every year a certain number of students are sent to our vocational internships abroad. Our guests from sister schools are accommodated in our school in Turkey. In order to increase the foreign language proficiency of our students, every year a certain number of students are sent to the language school in England under the sponsorship of the Regional Directorate of Machinery Specialized Organized Industry.

Our school, which has ISO 9001: 2015 quality management  and Ministry of Health ‘Clean School Healthy School” certificates, is still active in the European Union Erasmus Plus projects.Within the framework of the Erasmus program, our students with students from Poland, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Hungary started working on solar powered boat project.

In June 2020, 110 students graduated from our school. Six of them succeeded to be in the first 1000 in Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) in Turkey. All of our graduates have been placed in many different areas in the elite universities from medicine to pharmacy, dentistry to engineering, law to business. Our 32 graduates got into Engineering, 7 into Medicine, 4 into Dentistry and the others to various faculties. Under the roof of the alumni association our graduates established, they continue their ENKA culture in their lives; they cooperate in many fields such as increasing internship opportunities, announcement of job applications and social responsibility projects.

In the Mathematics competition organized by Canada-based Waterloo University, our students achieved great success by ranking 1st in the 9th grade category, 1st in the 10th grade category, and 28th in the 11th grade category. Our student Dilay DAL who was 2nd in Turkey TUBITAK Research Project got a chance to represent our country at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which is organized by Intel every year in the USA, where approximately 1600 students from over 60 countries are invited every year.

Our school increases its success every year in vocational fields. In Online Ideathon under the name of “Coding Tomorrow Online Covideathon, which has been organized for high school students aged 14-17 by Vodafone Turkey Foundation in the context of fighting against the new type of coronavirus outbreak in collaboration with Habitat Association  in which 129 teams and 339 young people participated from Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, our 11th grade students Dilay Dal and Dilan Deniz Uçar won the second place with their project “Covcam”.

They received the quality award in the FRC Mersin Off Season competition with the robot they built in our school workshops. Having won the 2nd place in the robot competition organized by Marmara University in the category of cage wars, our team had the opportunity to develop fields like analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, engineering knowledge, instant decision making, programming, etc.

Saying “We are also in Arts and Sports”, our student Azra Ece KOÇ from U16 girls, got 1st place in the championship organized by Turkey Chess Federation where 2557 people in various age groups competed. Our school magazine “ENKA’nın SESİ” (The Voice of ENKA), which is thoroughly prepared by our school students, is going on its publishing life and is published twice a year. Our theatre club students, with the guidance of our teachers,  voiced 5-parts radio theater created with online connections from their homes due to the pandemic period and posted them on youtube social media channels.

With the support of our teachers, students have been carrying on their activities at MUN (Model United Nations), English Drama and many other social fields like social responsibility projects. With the theme of “Sustainable School Campus” Anatolian Technical School with the other ENKA schools organize sustainability projects.
