Our music lessons are structured in accordance with the Ministry of National Education 9th grade curriculum. The school participates in national competitions, and concerts are given frequently. Instruments such as the violin, cello, flute, drums, piano, guitar and bass guitar are taught in the music club hours. Students are encouraged to work in teams by creating different music groups. The training provided aims to ensure that the students reach the highest possible level. With the support of composition and theoretical studies, students become familiar with different tunes and able to adapt to music made in digital and acoustic environments. Every student in our school graduates with the ability to play an instrument.
Our goals are:
- To educate students who respect art, artists and cultures
- To train self-confident individuals who have a spirit of inquiry and an understanding of music
- To impart the ability to recognise notes, rhythms and melodies, and to set off a process of life-long learning with Orff instruments
- To educate individuals who can use music technologies sensitively and effectively
- To give students an interest in contemporary music technology, to participate in musical events both inside and outside the school and to place highly in national competitions.
