Organized by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kocaeli Provincial School Sports Chess Competition Tournament was held online at Chess.com this year. In the tournament, with the participation of 134 athletes and 47 schools, our students Azra Ece KOÇ, Elif KARAÇELİK and Elif ÇELİK won the 1st place in the “Youth – Girls” category as a team. In the “Youth – General” category, our team consisting of Ege Yiğit Köksal, Ada Mirza ERGENE, Berk Öz and Emir AKAY came in 2nd, while our team consisting of Emre DEMİRBAŞ, Alperen GÜNGÖR, Ertuğrul Mert TAYLAN and Altan PULLUKÇU, took the 3rd place.
Azra Ece KOÇ received the 1st place and Ayça YAĞLI the 2nd place in the “Youth – Girls” individual category ; Emre DEMİRBAŞ won the 2nd place in the “Youth – General” category.
