Sport is the whole of the physical and mental activities that promote the physical and social development of young people, build their self-confidence and support the development of their personalities.

Our goal is to impart an understanding of the benefits of sports to our students, to enable them to take part in sporting activities and to guide them in organising their own lives in accordance with the principle of ‘life-long sport’.

Students who take part in our physical education classes:

  • Make a habit of personal care and cleanliness
  • Adopt the concept of virtue
  • Make sport a way of life
  • Learn about the importance given by Atatürk to sport and to athletes
  • Exhibit exemplary behaviour in line with the concept of fair play
  • Understand the importance of rhythm
  • Grasp the importance of doing regular physical activity for a healthy life
  • Perform the movements specific to the selected sport to the accompaniment of music and rhythm
  • Participate in sports events and exhibit attitudes and behaviour in accordance with the rules of competition and cooperation
  • Ensure their own safety and the safety of others during sporting events
  • Use sports equipment appropriately and correctly
  • Discover the importance of self-expression through games and drama
  • Exhibit their skills by doing physical activities
  • Strengthen friendships through sport
  • Join sports organisations
  • Develop their self-confidence through sporting activities
  • Exhibit combat skills as individuals and in pairs
  • Appreciate the need for warming up and cooling down.
