We had a conversation with Dr. Mehmet Furkan Burak who not only continues his studies as an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School, but also was considered worthy of the ‘Best Young Researcher of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) 2018’, ‘Best Research Project’ and ‘Young Researcher’ by the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) and the American College of Physicians (ACP), ‘TOYP Medical Innovation and Inventions Winner’ associated with European Union, ‘Harvard Discover Brigham Innovation Award’ and ‘Harvard Obesity Incubation Projects Winner’, Endocrine Society’s award for best researcher under 40.
With a highly intensive attention, Dr. Mehmet Furkan Burak’s projects, his motivation ,science, importance of science, Turkey’s place in the scientific arena, things he did during the road to Harvard University from Turkey, Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and the link between these and Covid-19 were discussed in the conversation in our school. Dr. Mehmet Furkan Burak answered the questions of our students about the topics of the conversation and their future sincerely.
