
Adapazarı ENKA Schools are continuing to take steps towards building a Sustainable Future. In this regard, the 1st Enka Schools Sustainability Meetings was held with the participation of the volunteer students from three ENKA Schools on 19-20 May 2018 at the Enka Schools Kocaeli campus. In total, there were 20 students from Adapazarı ENKA Schools,12 high school and 8 middle school students. On the first day of the program, Gokce YENİEV from SOIL, Alper AKÇA from AYDER, and Uygar ÖZESMİ from Good4Trust, led the students who participated in committees and worked on Waste Management, Human Rights / Discrimination and Prevention of Over Consumption. During the workshop, SOIL, AHBAP Kocaeli, Patidaş, Octopus Volunteers, Stop the Women Murders Platform, Children Support Education and Education for All, Tübitak Animal Experiment Ethics Committee (HADYEK) shared their work with our students and guests by building a booth in the school and gave colour to the program with various activities. On the second day of the program, the committees presented their resolutions created during the workshops. Having watched the video designed by our media team, pine tree seeds were distributed as a memorial gift to our students who attended the workshops. This significant event was concluded with a mini-concert performed by our students.
