Parent Technology Agreement

Dear Parent,

We would like to inform you about a project that sets an example for the effective use of technology tools in the learning process. We are using "Toddle" platfom to create virtual learning environments. Virtual learning environments are online learning platforms that not only reflect how our students are progressing in their learning processes but also allow us to provide feedback and assessment both retrospectively and in real-time. These platforms not only provide an opportunity to inform our parents about their children's experiences in the learning process but also enable them to observe the learning journey and development of their children in an online environment.

We kindly request that you complete the Parent Technology Use Agreement by October 11, 2024, through the system to provide your statement regarding ensuring the privacy of the shared data (content, visuals, etc.).

2024-2025 ENKA Istanbul Schools Technology Usage Agreement

1-) I will not share shared content, photos, videos, or voice recordings on other platforms.
2-) I will guide my child in uploading homework to the relevant virtual learning environment and using the learning diary effectively.
3-) Depending on the level of education, I know what the learning journal is and regularly follow the notifications sent from these virtual learning environments.
4-) I will not share the information sent to me by virtual learning environments with others.
5-) I will encourage my child to use respectful and academic language while using virtual learning environments.
6-) I encourage my child to use technology consciously.
7-) *If my child is in a class level that is part of the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) project:
➔ I will install the applications-programs requested by the school on the device in a timely manner without disrupting educational activities;
➔ After performing the transaction by using my credit card to install paid applications on the device, I will make sure to logout after the transaction.
➔ I will encourage my child to use the device only for academic purposes during school hours;
➔ If I am going to use this device in my daily life, I will make sure that the the applications-programs installed are appropriate for my child's age;
➔ I will provide a protective case for the device and label it with my child's name and class information, so they can write their name and class;
➔ If there is work to be done at home, I will check the assignments;
➔ I will determine and monitor my child's screen time;
➔ I will handle technical issues and malfunctions related to the device on behalf of my child. I will make an effort to resolve the problem to ensure uninterrupted lessons; and
➔ If my device is Apple, I will activate the Find/Bul functionality.
