Adapazarı ENKA Schools support the holistic development of their students by blending academic knowledge with global skills. Within this context, our students participated in the UK Summer School Program, which allows them to experience the positive effects of our intensive foreign language program they were exposed to throughout the year and develop their daily life skills by meeting people of different age groups, cultures, and social statuses.
Our high school students attended the program at the University of East London from July 7-21, 2024, while our middle school students attended the program at Royal Holloway University of London in Egham from August 4-18, 2024. Both groups of students received two weeks of education in international classes following a placement test on the first day. The lessons and campus activities, which they took part in alongside students from other countries, contributed to our students’ intercultural learning process.
During the weekday half-day excursions, our high school students had the chance to visit many of London’s historical and tourist attractions, such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, the Natural History Museum, and the Thames River Cruise. Additionally, on weekend full-day excursions, they visited landmark cities like Cambridge and Brighton.
Our middle school students had the opportunity to visit many of London’s historical and tourist attractions, such as Big Ben, the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Trinity College, King’s College, Windsor Castle, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Buckingham Palace, Leicester Square, and the London Eye, during weekday excursions. On weekend full-day excursions, they visited popular cities like Cambridge and Oxford.
