Our Students Score in the Top 25% of University of Waterloo’s International Mathematics Competitions

Every year, ENKA Schools Mathematics Department encourages our students to participate in national and international competitions to try themselves and find inspiration on their journey to success. You can find our achievements of last year here.

We presented the University of Waterloo International Mathematics Competitions’ certificates to our High School students at last week’s assembly. We are proud to announce that 31 of our students who participated in the Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Mathematics Competitions scored in the top twenty-five percent of all participants internationally.

The CEMC which is known as Canada’s most recognized organization for promoting and creating activities for mathematics and computer science, deals with the teaching of mathematical subjects to students. Housed within the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, CEMC aims to increase enjoyment, confidence, and ability in mathematics and computer science.

Annually, CEMC holds competitions that varies from the elementary to the high-school level. Each competition, with the exception of Fryer and Hypatia, is named after a famous mathematician.

These competitions include:
-4 multiple choice competitions for elementary and high-school level students.
-4 full solution competitions for high-school level students.
– A Team Mathematics competition.
-Computing competitions for beginners and experts.

We congratulate our students and wish them well in all the mathematic competitions we will enter this year.
