A First in Sakarya: Solar Power Plant (SPP) Project Completed at Adapazarı ENKA Schools!

Adapazarı ENKA Schools has once again undertaken a pioneering project with its environmental awareness and sustainability approach. Taking an important step towards ENKA Group’s goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions in its operations by 2050, the school completed its Solar Power Plant (SPP) project, a first among educational institutions in Sakarya. With this project, our school has become one of the pioneering schools that can meet 100% of its own energy needs and make significant contributions to nature.

The 495 kWp / 400 kWe power plant, which was built with 900 solar panels, fully meets the annual energy needs of Adapazarı ENKA Schools and has taken a strong step towards a sustainable future.

This project not only contributes to the environment but also aims to instil environmental awareness in our students and teach them the importance of self-sufficiency in energy production.

In line with the goal of ‘Reducing Environmental Impact’, one of the four pillars of its sustainability strategy, ENKA Group of Companies carries out various projects to increase the use of renewable energy and minimise environmental impact.

As Adapazarı ENKA Schools, we continue to develop environmentally sensitive projects in support of this vision and set an example to both our students and the community with this project that strengthens our sustainability vision.
